About 1st Contact Shipping

1st Contact been helping people get to the UK and make the most of life there since 1995.

When we started, many of our clients arrived in the UK on a two year working holiday visa. And, after their adventures, many had to head home with a large amount of excess baggage.

To help travellers avoid exorbitant excess fees, we started 1st Contact Shipping. Our service has grown over the years and now incorporates larger international moves. We make the process as smooth, safe and stress-free as possible.

Why choose 1st Contact Shipping?

Free delivery and collection within London’s M25 area

If you’re located in London’s M25 orbital motorway, we provide free packing cartons, as well as free collection. Our London delivery and collection service operates next day, Monday to Saturday.

Nationwide service

Located outside of London? We can still help. We can deliver packing cartons and collect your excess baggage from all over the United Kingdom. If you’re based in Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, you can get a free next-day delivery and collection service. If you’re located elsewhere in the UK, we offer a courier service for a small fee.

Free cartons and packing materials

We take the hassle out of packing your belongings. Besides shipping cartons, we can also supply other packing materials, including packaging tape, bubble wrap and tissue paper – all at no charge. Not sure which boxes you need? Our experienced team is on hand with expert advice.

If you’d prefer not to pack your own cartons, we offer a professional packing service. We’ll make sure that your goods are packed securely, so you’re guaranteed that they reach their destination in one piece.

British Association of Removers (BAR)

We are a certified BAR overseas bonded member. You can rest assured that your goods will be delivered to their destination, even in the unlikely event that we stop trading.

1st Contact is rebranding to Sable International!

For the last 18 months we've been merging with our big brother, Sable International. By the end of the year, we're going to complete the rebrand.

The accountants, brokers, advisors and caseworkers that you are used to dealing with will not be going anywhere as the entire 1st Contact team will be in the same roles at Sable International. You'll still get that same great service, just under a new name.

We'll be keeping you in the loop as we prepare for the next exciting phase in this rebranding.
