Requirements for a limited company’s website

It’s a good idea for your business to have an online presence. If you have a website, it needs to display your company name, registered address and email address.

Specific requirements include:

  • An address - a PO Box is OK, but a registered office address is usually better
  • The company's registration number, along with the place of registration (e.g. "X Company Limited is registered in England and Wales with company number Y")
  • Group membership details and registration number of any trade or professional association your company belongs to
  • Your prices, including tax and delivery costs; these must be displayed clearly on your website
  • The company VAT number
